THE AMAZING ‘INVISIBLE LIGHT’ VIDEO (AND A MESSAGE FROM THE BAND)
17th DecemberIt is with triumph and joy that we Scissor Sisters bid ta-ta to our British fans and friends. To say that we enjoyed our UK tour is a massive understatement: we have played our best, looked our best, and were blessed with the best audiences of our career. A huge THANK YOU to all who braved the elements (especially our Glaswegian sisters) and told the snow to sod off – and encouragement to all citizens of the UK to call your local council and MPs and have them invest some money in a snow plough or two. Take it from us New Yorkers: a little snow is nothing to be afraid of, just an opportunity to show off your shoveling skills! But seriously, our British fans are second-to-none, and we are so proud and happy to call the United Queendom our spiritual home. Thank you and here’s to 2011: may it be the best year of all our lives!
In parting, we leave your fair shores with an offering of our latest, and we think, greatest song and video off Night Work: Invisible Light. It is a magical trip down the rabbit hole, and we think the video by Spanish auteurs Canada gives the song a wicked little spin. Enjoy!
Love, Your Scissor Sisters

Thank you for making 2010 such an amazing year.
You have continue to give me good memories of fantastic performances in some wild and wonderful places around the planet. One of my favorites would be Paris where the temperature was raised to over 115 degrees and you ended up wearing wet towels. I don’t think it had anything to do with the venue having no air conditioning, just that Del fancied taking his shirt off to see what would happen.
Just arranging travel dates now and booking tickets now to come and see you guys another three times more in February
Hope you enjoy a relaxing time with your friends and family and come back soon! There will always be a place for you guys over here.
Just wanted to add my thanks to you guys.Saw you for the fifth time at the o2 on Weds and you amazed me as always.Been with you from the begining I remember reading in The Star newspaper back at the begining of 2005 about this camp/disco band from New York who were bound to make things happen and boy you did.I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Tea Party on Anas birthday in 05 and what a night it was.Met you all and everyone was so nice,so friendly and down to earth…from then on I was hooked and have now passed it on to my nine year old who also came Weds.Safe trip to wherever you are off to next and hurry up and come back please.Love you and hey to Paddy if you see him xxx
Excellent song and equally excellent video. You should be very proud.
You were brilliant @ Nottingham Trent.
********THURSDAY NIGHT WAS ABSOLUTELY, AMAZINGLY PHENOMENAL*********
I haven’t been to a gig since I saw you guys in Brighton on your last tour!
It was my 41st birthday on Friday & I got the tickets last minute with my birthday money (thanks Mum), instead of spending it on the kids christmas pressies as usual!! As Ana said, “Fuck Christmas!!” I was there to celebrate, big time, & OMG it was worth every penny & so much more! I had a fantastic time, & I was really spoilt by my boyfriend, Q (thanks for the whole night babe, mmmmm). I danced all night & sang my heart out, absolutely no apologies to anyone around me, next time ……… JOIN IN!! Next time I’ll be bringing my daughter too!
I’ve idolised Pink Floyd for years & your version of ‘Comfortably Numb’ is the best Floyd cover I’ve ever heard, it was the track that introduced me to the ‘Sisterhood’. On Thursday it was brilliant, thank you.
As an English teacher, I wondered if you’d thought of compiling a Scissor Sisters Dictionary, including, loo, tosser, minger, Bristols etc? I’m fascinated by words & language, one word I love is ‘relish’. If you want a researcher let me know!
I wish you all Love, Laughter, Health & Happiness, & a damn good rest, for Christmas (or whatever!) & the New Year.

just saw the Invisible Light video, its good to know that bands are still prepared to make risky Videos in this day and age..I’m sure there are a few references to the classic 60’s movie Belle De Jour starring the gorgeous Catherine Deneuve
Great video!! Love It!
